The “Sarner“ Tradition of Quillwork
Traditional costumes in South Tyrol are adorned with quillwork, a centuries-old craft practised in the Sarentino Valley and the German Alps for over 200 years. Using the quills of peacock feathers, intricate patterns are embroidered onto a variety of leather goods.
