The Saldura Lakes
An almost enchanted place at the very end of the Val di Mazia, reached via a challenging high-altitude hike. At the foot of Punta Saldura, in the Ötztal Alps, at an altitude of 3,000 metres, the waters of the Saldura lakes shimmer among the bare rocks. Their origin – whether from a glacier or a spring – is revealed by their colour, either turquoise or dark blue. It is a rugged and majestic environment, offering a deeply moving experience to those able to reach it.
