On the Trail of... The Great War at Sass de Stria
At Valparola Pass, in the heart of the Dolomites, there is more than just grand natural scenery. Unfortunately, these places were one of the harshest and most contested theatres of the Great War. The protagonist of these tragic events is the Sass de Stria. Sharing these stories with us is South Tyrolean historian Mirko Frainer, who has retraced for us the steps of the soldiers who lost their lives here.
