On the Trail of... First World War-Passo Stelvio
Today, joined by South Tyrolean historian Mirko Frainer, we venture to the Passo dello Stelvio, one of the highest road passes in Europe. We are here to retrace the steps of the Italian and Austro-Hungarian soldiers who, during the Great War, had to contend not only with bullets and bombs but also with extreme weather conditions.
