Hike to the Latemar Peak
A challenging hike that requires sure-footedness, a head for heights, and either expert guides or considerable mountain experience. However, it offers a rare and emotional reward. From Passo di Costalunga, the route climbs via the Forcella Latemar Piccola to the summit cross of Cima Latemar – also known as Schenon – the second-highest peak in the Latemar massif. The panoramic view from the top is, to say the least, astonishing.
