The presence of Dolasilla – the mythical warrior princess of the Kingdom of Fanes – lingers among the peaks of Ladinia, and it is not difficult to imagine how sagas and legends arose around such fascinating places. You can sense the atmosphere of these myths as you cross the snowy landscape in the heart of the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park, heading towards Rifugio Lavarella at 2,050 metres in the flat basin of the Piccola Alpe di Fanes.
