The Hills of Castelfeder

Castelfeder, located between Ora, Egna and Montagna, is a place blessed by natural beauty and easily accessible. In 1977 it was declared a biotope. Small lakes, meadows with ancient oak trees and Mediterranean scrub characterise the landscape, which is home to many fauna and flora. Thousands of years of human presence also mark the hills of Castelfeder: the remaining ruins date back to to the Neolithic age through to the Middle Ages and is the birthplace of countless legends.
