Wild Herb Week at Hidalgo

During the spring, a potpourri of ingredients harvested from the fields and forests make their way into the kitchens of Hidalgo, a delightful restaurant located in the municipality of Postal. Sorrel, stinging nettle, wood sorrel and many other wild herbs most people are unaware of end up on the menu. These herbs not only taste delicious but also have healing properties. Otto Mattivi initiated the Wild Herb Week many years ago in Lana and the surrounding areas. Once again, Restaurant Hidalgo will be cooking with fresh, wild herbs from May until mid-June.
